HP Bulletin #429

We have been so overwhelmed lately. We've had to move house suddenly. And now that we've finally transferred our 845,378 boxes and bags of stuff, we have to unpack and put away all that.

Taking a break from fixing the mess.

So.

In the late afternoon, the fog regularly rolls in. Sometimes it's thick enough for a game of Zombie Apocalypse.

We have, however, started our newest school year! Raine is 7th grade, and Breeze, 4th. Time flies! We're on our fourth year of homeschooling, just like that. And also just like that, I have a high schooler and a middle schooler. No wonder we're overwhelmed.

First day of school. The girls love the empty lot across our house. It leads to the tennis court and the park.

I have also been going down to Manila regularly for my long-term project: Seafarer Asia, an online magazine that aims to make lives better for Filipino seafarers and their families. It's been quite a learning curve for me, moving from luxury and lifestyle to advocacy work, but it is so worth it!

Just another work commute. See that tiny ship sort of beside the umbrella? That was my office for a day. You can't tell from the photo, but that ship is actually 115 m long.

Simon is adjusting marvelously to the new neighborhood. I think he loves the fact that he can go outdoors freely and enjoy the sun. And that he has a lot of new places to sleep.

Simon is blooming in this new house!

We do have a great feeling about this new place we're at, and this new chapter in our lives. I think great days are coming.

The HPs are ready for a new chapter in our lives.
